You think that if you can just 'get through this next thing' then you'll have some space to catch your breath. The only problem is that day never comes - there's always a new thing to stress over.Â
You wish you could enjoy your body, feel calm in your mind, and say you love yourself (and mean it). You dream about finding your purpose, living with freedom, and finding the confidence to be HER.
But instead, you’re stuck in a cycle of doing more, trying to control everything in attempt to hold it all together. If this resonates, believe me, I get it. This was my life just a few years ago.
In 2020, I went through the most difficult time in my life. Marital betrayal, which eventually led to divorce. I was an emotional wreck, numbing my pain with workaholism, social events and constant distractions. I rushed around, a single parent now to my 4 kids, my mind racing with unfinished tasks. The guilt would creep in, telling me I should be more organised, more productive, just… more.
I convinced myself that if I could just get through this next thing, then I’d finally have the space and energy to focus on me. But at the end of 2021 my body had had enough. I hit physical and emotional burn out, completely disconnected from the woman I wanted to be. My gut was out of whack again, my skin inflamed. For a solid month, all I could do was sleep, cry, and feel all the feelings I had repressed for so long.Â
Rock bottom became my catalyst for massive change. The change I needed wasn’t about ticking off more tasks or becoming "better" at juggling life’s demands. It had to come from the inside - and it was up to me to create it.Â
I sought out some of the world's best coaches and healers who had the results I wanted. I immersed myself in study, now unlearning the lifestyle patterns that were holding me hostage. Bit by bit, I started to develop a true understanding on the intrinsic connection between the mind and body.Â
Within a few short years, my life became unrecognisable. I let go of disordered eat patterns. I started to feel safe in my body, learning to love myself exactly as I am. The anger and shame around my divorce dissolved. My skin healed, and so did my gut. The relationship with my kids deepened, and I quadrupled my income revenue, working fewer hours, all while only saying yes to aligned work that lit me up.Â
The further I went into my healing, the more passionate I became about helping other women to heal from these same patterns of self sabotage.
For over a decade, I'd worked with thousands of women as a holistic nutritionist and food coach, trying to solve the "problem" with a perfectly balanced meal plan. But time and time again, the same issues would surface - binge eating, body dismorphia, and the inherent belief that the client just 'wasn't good enough'. I learnt by experience that the best meal plan in the world is never going to heal this - for almost all issues relating to food are related to an unconscious avoidance to feeling negative emotions.
I sat with woman after woman, listening to their familiar stories of binge eating, staying up too late, social media addiction, surviving on coffee and sugar, and numbing with wine to unwind at the end of each day. I saw self punishment disguised as 'self care' - overexercising, perfectionism and extreme dieting.
All behaviours that I, myself, was also doing. In secret.Â
Over the past few years, the way I work with clients has completely changed. Instead of focusing on diet, I help women to dig into the root cause of when the unhealthy patterns started. In almost every single case, I found the behaviours had been created as a survival mechanism, often all the way back in childhood.Â
What I discovered is that the common denominator behind weight gain, stress, and burnout isn’t a lack of willpower. It’s rooted in repressed emotions like anger, fear, guilt, and shame, combined with a limiting belief that we simply aren’t good enough. And what really sucks is that the physical manifestation of long term emotional suppression leads to more weight gain, more stress, more chronic pain and more feelings of unworthiness.Â
Healing can only truely take place when all systems of the mind AND body are working in alignment with each other. For many of us, they are in constant conflict with the other.
Which means that the unhealthy patterns not only stay there - they get stronger.Â
And so I've spent the last 12 months putting together a systematic blueprint for women's health and healing. This blueprint combines the science of brain reprogramming, body energetics, unconscious mind integration, esoteric healing principles AND holistic nutrition. I've used my blueprint to guide many women to freedom from these cycles of self sabotage.Â
